My first collection of humorous essays, "I Worship the Ground That Awaits You," is now available for the Amazon Kindle for the low price of only $2.95. Where else can you get so much entertainment for such a low price? The book will be available for the Barnes and Noble Nook reader within moments (it probably already is by the time you read this). If--like me--you don't own an ereader yet, you can download a free app for your pc or mobile device that will allow you to read my book or any others you download.
I'm proud of this collection, and it is fun to see how my writing and approach to the material changed over the course of the last ten years (although the essays are not in sequential order just to keep things interesting).
Drop by one of the websites and download your copy today!

The Wolfman
Saw it in the theatre and loved it; the director's cut on the DVD is even better. Don't know why the critics had it in for this film, but it is a terrific reboot of the old Lon Chaney Jr. flick.

Larry King's wife in good shape after apparent overdose
Probably didn't realize how many times she'd have to sleep with the disgusting old goat.

iPhone 4
Click the headline to read all about Apple's latest drool-inducer. Personally, I'm a PC, but Apple won me over to the iPhone with its sleek design and cool functionality.
If everyone reading this would donate $1 to me, I could afford to take a bus and drive past the iPhone store.

Was I Right?
Word has it that Sandra Bulldyke, er, BullOCK was kissing Scarlett Johanssen (sp) at the MTV Movie Awards. Maybe my earlier post was correct, after all. :)

America's New Sweetheart
This makes me love Sandra Bullock even more (click the headline).
We can leave it like that, cause I do adore her, or you can mouse over the next sentence and see what else I think: Sandy is a lesbian, the marriage was arranged,.and that was why the adoption occurred so quietly during Jesse's downfall.

Ted Faggard is back...
...and he wants to hold people's...hands, among other things. Click the headline for the story.
Loser. And what is up with the wife? Lovc or no love, Ted is gay, dear, and given some of his past poor choices is quite likely to bring disease into your home. Move on and find a better man, for God's sake.

Good Movie
Middle of the night--surfing and watching My Big Fat Greek Wedding on cable. Terrific movie, didn't like it the first time but it grew on my because my husband made me watch it again. Funny how some movies are like that. For me, it is rare for the opposite to occur: If I love a movie the first time, I don't generally dislike ti the next time I see it. Weird.

A Six Pack and a Lonely Road
Click the headline to read the new Gallup survey on attitudes about gays and lesbians. Fascinating.
There used to be an old joke where I'm from that the difference between a straight man and a gay man was a six pack and a lonely road.

French McDonald's courts gay clientele
Click the headline above to see McDonald's French ad with the slogan "Come as you are" and read the accompanying story. Very well done.
Deer Crashes into Fresh Market Window, Runs Through Store
There are about a dozen punchlines to this story, most of which write themselves:
Be sure and read the comments after the story for some more of the humor.
- the police tazed the animal because he was brandishing his hooves in a threatening manner
- there is plenty of fresh venison this week at the Fresh Market
Be sure and read the comments after the story for some more of the humor.

SATC2
Ignore the critics! If you liked the first Sex and the City movie you'll have a ball at the second. Very fun, the fashions and locations are gorgeous, and the story is fun! What the heck else do you expect from a summer popcorn movie. Delightful!
Child Mauled
Once again in the news, a child was bitten in the face by a dog, this time a pit bull mix. What is it about freakin' pit bulls? I can't recall any stories about a cocker spaniel ripping off anyone's face.
